New Country House

A contemporary extension to an existing threshing barn built using the local Cotswold stone. Our Client who we have worked closely with from the start wanted to create a contemporary home in a small Cotswold village for them and their family to enjoy for many years to come. This is a legacy project.

The council were very receptive to our initial proposals to carve a segment out of the hill side in which to build our design into.

One of the key elements to this house is how well it responds to the site and surrounding context. We have been sympathetic in selecting the type and quantities of each material, so each section of facade not only creates its own interest but works harmoniously with the rest of the building.
